Upping. Is that a word?
I finally feel like I’m ready to start increasing my running! I’ve just been sticking to the 30 minutes a day, 3 times per week on non back to back days
I read that you should increase frequency of runs before you increase duration. This idea is completely different than what I’ve done in the past. Usually I just start adding a long run on Sunday and add a mile each week. But this time I’ve decided I’ll add a day for the next few weeks.
3o mins a day 4 times per week now. My Achilles still has its stubborn moments but it’s definitely in a better place.
I’ve also been trying to be consistent with strength training.
Here is what my August workouts looked like
Vibes were “poor” only because I’m pretty bad about updating my “feeling” after each workout. I must have had a bad/hard run in there somewhere.
I like seeing my heart rate zones. Let’s me know if I’m working hard or not!
Out of my 21 workouts 8 were cross training and 13 runs.
